Player 456, is that you? 😅
ok
I’m 29 turning 30 and the girls in my college classes that are 19-21 thought I was their age. I drink 1-2 liters of water a day, eat veggies and omega fish; however, I eat tiramisu from time to time, but common life is short.
👏👏👏
So birthday cake does cause wrinkles!
I would have never thought my teenage years of acnee was because of milk ! I thought it was the chocolate.
Dr Youn, Please what is your take on Kefir? Thank you.
I switched to organic milk only and my face stopped breaking out. 🤷♀️
Ty for this!
I understood… U notice me looking young these days…
.
But I never wanted to look in a specific way!… I just look as I feel.comfy!
Lactose isn’t the only thing people can be intolerant to when it comes to milk, casein and whey can cause issues as well.
So true! I personally see a big difference by avoiding dairy and sugars – my acne and PCOS symptons are way better!
As a vegan, I am so grateful that you are encouraging other people to be start eating a healthy delicious 😋 vegan 🌱 diet
What about vegan collagen?
I had no idea that the "good stuff" in veg and fruits is in the PIGMENT. Amazing. Thank you so much.
It’s crazy just started eating healthy month ago and the amount of acne I’m getting has gone down so much.
I really enjoy your videos so much Dr. Youn, so great information and I really like your down to earth view on beauty – thank you! ❤
I struggle with Terrible cystic acne all over my face and I’m a little big over weight. Nothing crazy but like I wanna be 15 pounds smaller. I set a goal for myself by Jan 1 I’ll loose some weight and change my diet for better skin. Will update accordingly
So useful! ❤
Please talk about artificial sugars.
I always hated milk, and growing up commercials really tried to push it with the "milk does the body good" message
Aging is natural
I’m 25 and still struggle with acne- nothing outrageous, less than as a teenager but definitely more than I thought I’d have in my 20’s. I also love milk…I’ll have to try not drinking it for a month and see if there’s a difference.
Re intermittent fasting- I’m guessing that a smoothie would count as eating?
Saturated fat is so important for underlying collagen structures though… as long as it’s grass fed sources saturated fat keeps the skin bouncy too
I’ve been struggling with oily skin all my life and after COVID I had a terrible acne, nothing helped (neither retinoids no cink or calicylic acid), so 3 weeks ago I stoped eating dairy, sugar and gluten. I noticed changes for the better after a week – my skin was less oily and black spots on the nose became smaller. Now I have no black at all, no new pimples (only a couple of old ones that are healing) and my skin looks effing amazing. I still have scarring from all those years of acne but it’s manageable. I will never go back to eating dairy, sugar and gluten again.
I love you!
Milk causes me to have severe acne breakouts, and so does vitamin D3.
Me who drinks cartons of whipping cream: 👁️👄👁️
what you eat has a Profound impact on EVERYTHING to do with our minds and bodies
Is your collagen vegan?
Yess…I began eating nothing but Mediterranean food for 8 months & counting….my hair skin nails bottoms off feet etc are SO soft n healthy now😮
Soda pop without sugar or Coke Zero or Diet Coke which utilizes aspartame. We know that the safe amount of aspartame to be consumed is 40mg per kg of body weight. Considering the average weight of a man in the US is 200lbs which is 90kg that would mean the limit to the amount of aspartame he can consume would be 3600mg. If we consider a 12oz can to contain 200mg of aspartame that would mean one would have to consume 18 cans of Diet Coke consistently to see adverse effects. In terms of skin health however how do artificial sweeteners compare to sugar?
I’m an older man on keto diet and intermittent fasting for 2 years now. My facial skin now looks so much older over these 2 years ..i can almost feel fat burning in my face causing wrinkles and that "old man" look. Im very unhappy about this as I always looked young for my age. Any suggestions?
What should I have to replace the amount of vitamin D and calcium in milk? I love milk😢
Can you talk about processed foods! Please!
People need to start understanding that nature gave us ALL we need in life.
I had cystic acne for years, until I cut out dairy and it disappeared with 2 weeks!! Just a shame I didn’t know this sooner and could have prevented the acne scaring 😢. The dairy industry is cruel and I’m also glad to not contribute to the misery of those animals. All round no dairy is a good thing, it can also reduce mucus build up in the body too if you cut the dairy 😀
While what you eat is the MOST important, nutritional supplements can also help promote health, longevity, and youth! Check out my summary of the best anti-aging supplements here! https://youtu.be/txc3sfEZ4ZY
Dairy also makes my undereye bags prominent
It’s very frustrating that doctors misuse their authority to give nutrition advice, especially in videos. It’s extremely important to disclaim first in these types of videos that doctors are NOT experts on nutrition and that you should always refer to what the actual experts say, ie, clinical nutritionists.
I drink about 300 mg of (skimmed) milk per day at least. Since years! Some years back, I drank about 2-3 liters per day for about 4 months (I was pregnant then; I had no drop in calcium levels), it was like my water 😂. I have never (not even as teenager) had any problem with acnea, no problem on my skin (I am 40 alread but I still look about 10 years younger).
I am not saying that it’s thanks to the milk. Not at all! I just point out that, in my case, milk did no harm. And I love milk! I dislike and avoid soda and alcohol. And I cannot stand staying in the sun, since I was a kid – therefore I always avoid it as best I can.
As about the weight, my BMI is around 22. I do my best to eat healthy.
And, yes, I do IF since 1 year now.
I eat so much miso 🥲 glad to hear there are benefits haha
I also fast 2-3 days a week for religious purposes ❤️ religion aside, i struggled with pretty severe digestive issues in the past (had my first colonoscopy at 19 years old lol). I noticed that I feel fantastic now that I’ve started fasting regularly. The daily bloating and brain fog is gone. I fast at the beginning of the week, and I also notice that I feel more grounded/prepared for my week. Like it helps organize my mental state for the week? Idk! It’s been really helpful for me, personally ❤ it’s not for everyone, of course! And it can look different for everyone! And it should not be done in a way that is dangerous!
Note on fasting: during my fasts I drink broths and fresh juices that I make from fresh fruits and veggies, and I take all of my required medicines. I do not deprive my body of any nutrients. I have never struggled with an ED, I’m not under weight (5’5, 138lbs), and I see the doctor for regular check ups and blood work which always comes back totally fine. I would never recommend fasting for anyone who has struggled with ED’s or nutrient problems. Nor would I recommend any type of fasting that deprives your body of necessary nutrients or requires you to not take your medicine. Fasting is very personal for me, and it’s not something that should be seen as a requirement of me or anyone else.
How about sugar in fruits? Is it healthy?
Does coffee ice cream have too much sugar??
Ever since I have been doing keto my eczema is 99.9% gone.I feel like a new person 💖
